The field south east of the popular Triangle Wood is owned by the Council and is an area of special scenic beauty – which we know! But it also not being farmed to comply with nutrient neutrality requirements. It could be ‘developed’ naturally as an area to provide biodiversity net gain, encouraging wildlife and being an area the community could enjoy. This would be at no cost to the Council and would help to ensure that in future no houses could be built there.

Our volunteers have done such a great job in the wood and you can help too as we re-establish the existing hedge the way it should be , and plant some native bulbs and woodland plants in the coming weeks. Do come along to our meeting, enjoy a drink and meet other volunteers Wed 27th Sept 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm max!
